Boi-ngo (also known as “Boi-Ngo” or “BOI-NGO”)is the fifth album by Oingo Boingo, released 1987. Its original proposed title was More Nervous Energy. So-Lo is a Danny Elfman album recorded with his band Oingo Boingo. The band chose to record the album as a “backup band” for their longtime frontman primarily to circumvent a dispute with their label. It has also been stated that this was an opportunity for the band to record songs that had been deemed unsuitable for a proper Oingo Boingo album.
